Wesley Ryan, from the USA, sold his beloved car 12 years ago when his wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. His kids tracked the car down & surprised him.

Wesley Ryan received a massive shock when his wife and highschool sweetheart disclosed that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. He knew there would be medical bills to pay and so he sold his 1993 Ford Mustang.

“[It’s] not his world, but it’s one of the pieces to his heart. You just can’t replace it with any other vehicle,” Wesley’s daughter Jeni Ryan told CBS News.

“He’s not materialistic — he just wants his family taken care of. And at the end of the day, this all started because my mom was diagnosed with cancer and my dad being the man that he is, he decided to sell his vehicle in a heartbeat.”

Fastforward 12 year and his wife is now cancer-free, his kids have grown up and life has carried on. His family knew a piece of his heart was still missing. Wesley had been famous in his town, everyone knew him and his car, “Christine”.

To repay their father for all that he sacrificed, his kids started hunting down the car. They eventually found it and struck a bargain with the owner. They bought the car and towed it back home.

Their mom lured Wesley to a parking lot and the kids placed a blindfold over his eyes. When they removed it, Wesley broke down.

“I know how much it broke him in half seeing that car drive away from him. A day I’ll never forget, well… She’s back home pops and here to stay this time. Looking forward to building this car with you this time instead of being in a booster seat looking out the window.” – Jake Ryan

“He never expected anything back from us. All my dad wanted us to be is successful, and that’s all he ever asked from us. He never asked for his vehicle back,”

“Literally, words cannot explain that video because that video explains absolutely everything.” – Jeni Ryan

We teared up watching this happy dad’s reactions. Take a look below.
