We have just over a month to go before Christmas arrives, reminding people the power of giving and what it means to be charitable to those in need.
Last week, huddleUP reached their goal of collecting over 50 Christmas bags for the special children at Boitshepo Creche in Cosmo City, then we decided to see if we could reach a new target before the beginning of December for more children in need.

With over a month to go time is fleeting, but if people are able to support and want to get involved, why should we stop?
The new target of 800, it’s for a very special school situated in Primrose Germiston. The school is just over 1 year old and already home to many children seeking safety and education.
The students at Hawk Academy live on the border of a dangerous community, that is rife with violence, sexual abuse and constant disturbances, that one can only imagine how difficult life is for many of these young, small innocent children.
We are making sure that these children receive gifts and daily necessities.
Christmas is a time for family, friends, and laughter, where people come together and show their gratitude through gift exchanging and family functions. For many, it is just another day of the year.
We need your help in making sure these children get a special Christmas Day.
The following items are required for each gift box/ bag to ensure that each child receives more or less the same gifts.
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Bar of soap
- Wash/face cloth
- Educational supplies (no scissors)
- Sweets
- A toy (If you purchase a battery-operated toy, please include extra batteries.)
Notes:
Please put all liquids, e.g. bubbles into a ziplock bag so that they don’t leak.
If you want to do a monetary donation, please contact huddleUP for more information. We have partner organisations that can issue Section 18A certificates.
We would like to request that you partner with us with ANY contribution to fill bags for 800 underprivileged children at Hawk Academy Primary.
We have planned to host a Christmas party where we will hand over your contribution together with other gifts.
