Drive Thru Act Of Kindness – over R150,000 worth of food was paid forward at a Dairy Queen in America last week.

United States of America (11 December 2020) – What started as a random act of kindness from one man paying for the car behind him in a Dairy Queen drive-thru in Minnesota, resulted in over 900 cars also taking part in the pay it forward chain!

And the random act of kindness is going viral globally for all right reasons.

Tina Jensen, the store manager at one of the two Dairy Queens in town, told CNN that a man came by the drive-thru window on Thursday and asked if he could pay for his meal and for the car behind him.

“The way the world is now, you see a lot of anger, tension and selfish behaviour,” she said. “What we witnessed was pure kindness, and it was a breath of fresh air really.”

Jensen told her cashier this tends to happen once in a while, but at most, it lasts for 10 or 15 cars and fizzles out.

“I’ve had it happen where it went for like 10-15 cars, but never like this. Never for over a day,” she said.

This time, the chain continued for two and a half days with over 900 cars participating, raking in $10,000 (Over R150 000) in sales.

“I think it just says that we all have each others’ backs, strangers or not. Somebody stood up and wanted to do something for another, and it was kind of like a domino effect. One good thing brings out good in everybody.”

  1. We had a similar experience.my husband and I were some of last patrons in a steakhouse. There was a man seated at the bar near our table . I ordered sparkling water. The waiter brought out a very expensive bottle and I decided to forgo it.
It appears that the man at the bar heard our interchange.
Shortly after this he settled his bill and left.
When our bill came the waiter told us that this man had paid for our meal.
    We wondered why .
We could certainly afford our dinner.
It must have been the discussion about the sparkling water that led to the man assumingAl that we were financially challenged and that the meal would be a stretch for us
Our immediate response was to question a “ hidden agenda“
    How cynical we have become!
It was simply a random act of kindness.
I wished I could have thanked him.
It gave me the inspiration to do the same from time to time. So thank you for posting
