Dr Julia Kirby

A South African mom took to Facebook after finding the inspirational Doctor who helped her with her twins during a painful ordeal.

Suz-Lee Ka Nogaga took to Facebook to praise the Doctor who went out of her way to support her family after the twins were born and one of them had to stay in hospital. Since then the post has been shared thousands of times, making Dr Julia Kirby’s photo well known across social media.

“Finally found her on Facebook!!! Somebody please share to help me celebrate this beautiful soul… Dr Julia Kirkby! She was one of the doctors that worked on my daughter Emihle at Charlotte Maxeke Academic hospital last year.

She went out of her way to support me and my family through that ordeal. I had another twin who also needed me at home, while I had to travel to Johannesburg every second day to see my other sick baby. It was not easy at all.”

Whenever she was not there, Dr Julia would update her on Emihle’s condition. Despite her busy schedule, she would make time to explain everything to her.

“One day she even sent me a picture of my baby saying “hi mom”. I was so happy. She went far beyond her line of duty to take care of my baby.”

It was a painful experience for a new mother like Suz-Lee, but Dr Julia made it easy for her. The inspirational Doctor still makes time to chat to her now, asking about how the little baby is doing, and even asks for pictures.

“I will never forget what she did for my daughter. And when she grows up, I’ll tell her about this guardian angel. Who knows, maybe that will inspire her to become a doctor just like beautiful Dr Julia.”

Suz-Lee ended the post by asking readers to please share the story to make this woman famous for her kindness. South Africa needs more Doctors like her.

8 Months old today!!! If it wasn't for your grace Oh Lord, where would I be! #Esi&Emi
