Drakensberg

A group of young men from the Drakensberg Boys Choir paid tribute to the late Hugh Masekela with a beautiful performance of his song Stimela (meaning Coal Train).

The Drakensberg Boys Choir continue to wow us every single time they post a new video. Their latest video is the best one so far. A few of the young men involved in the choir came together to honour the late Hugh Masekela.

They played the instruments beautifully and captured the beauty of Mr Masekela’s talents.

One of the boys can be heard narrating over the video, sharing his thanks for all that Hugh Masekela had done for music in South Africa.

Dear Mr Masekela,

Thank you for giving us, young musicians, a chance to be part of your version of the world in which music unifies, empowers and liberates the people.

Your legacy will live on through us!

Rest in Peace
