Ed Sheeran surprised his Melbourne fans and put on an impromptu street concert in Hosier Lane this morning and now we love him even more!
Ed Sheeran performed to a small crowd in Melbourne’s CBD this morning, as he crossed live to the US to accept an award.
After three sold out gigs at Etihad Stadium over the weekend, and ahead of another tonight, the mega pop star decided to host a “secret performance” in the iconic Hosier Lane – which is lined with street art.
Thousands of fans squeezed into the laneway and surrounding areas to catch a glimpse of the ginger lad as part of the iHeartRadio Awards event.
The lucky fans were alerted to the surprise performance via an email just a few hours before. The Grammy award-winning artist performed his hit song Perfect from his Divide album, which was released last year.
