The Fourie family is eternally grateful to the kind-hearted people of South Africa who came together to support Reverend Barry Fourie’s battle with a rare form of cancer. Your generous donations have made a significant difference in his treatment, allowing the family to spend another Christmas together.
Eastern Cape, South Africa (19 December 2024) – Oh, Mzansi, what a beautiful and thoughtful nation you are! You heard the cries of a daughter who was desperate for her father’s healing and didn’t hesitate to dig deep into your pockets to help.
The Fourie family is overcome with gratitude and relief thanks to your ability to look out for one of your own by donating to Reverend Barry Fourie’s crucial and costly immunotherapy treatment.
Good Things Guy shared about his rare Epithelioid Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Sarcoma diagnosis in September. While the cost of treatment seemed far too overwhelming, to say the least, kind-hearted people donated what they could have afforded the Fouries yet another Christmas with their loving father and husband.
“As we approach this Christmas season, our hearts are filled with so much gratitude towards the kindness we have received as a family.
“We want to take a moment to update you all on the progress my dad has been making and express our deepest thanks to every one of you who has contributed towards my dad’s medical bills for the very rare cancer he has,” shares daughter, Minki Fourie.
While Reverend Fourie is not out of the woods, he is making progress, and donations have contributed greatly to his first cycle of Immunotherapy treatment (4 x R82,000 bags).
“Thank you for helping us to spend another Christmas with my Dad. This gift is priceless.”
An emotional and grateful Minki reminds us to be grateful for family and good health, things so easily taken for granted until we face the possibility of losing them.
