Patson found a cellphone in the dustbin at his place of work in Fourways. He immediately scooped it up and tried to find the owner, he even cleaned it off.

Patson is a petrol attendant at the Fourways Crossing BP. While on his shift he spotted a cellphone in the dustbin. The phone belonged to Colleen Theys.

Colleen was robbed and her phone was stolen by a woman. The incident was a shocking one but Colleen never imagined that the event would turn into a positive one. Colleen’s daughter, Jennifer Lynette Roos, shared the amazing turn of events with us.

“I would like to share an incredible story and also share our appreciation to Patson, a kind-hearted and good man that makes South Africa worth believing in.”

“My Moms phone was stolen near Corlett Drive. It was a shocking incident. We received a phone call from a man named Patson, who works at the BP petrol garage Fourways Crossing. He had found my Moms phone in a dustbin and did everything he could to get hold of the us by using the emergency contacts on my Moms phone.”

This is where Patson went above and beyond… Before handing the phone back to Colleen, he made sure to clean it off so they wouldn’t have to touch a dirty phone from the bin.

“He said that he found the phone in the dustbin and the first thing he did was clean it so we wouldn’t have to pick it up all dirty. He was so concerned with our worry of losing the phone and was determined to make sure we got it back safely.”

“Thank you Patson, for being such an honest, kind and genuine person. You are rare and absolutely awesome Xx”

Jennifer was blown away by Patson’s honesty and integrity and to thank him she emailed BP head office to ask them to acknowledge his kindhearted deed. She also wanted the world to know about his good deed and decided to share the story with us so we would share it with our readers.

Jen went to visit him today, 20th November 2017 and took a picture of their family hero. Meet Patson…
