A bucket list is possibly the best way to live life to the fullest! Especially when you reach old age and feel you still have so much to do! That’s exactly what 99 year old Annie, from the Netherlands, has been doing with all her spare time, living her best and fullest life!

Annie had always wanted to know what it was like to be arrested and what it was like in a real jail cell, she added it to her bucket list and went on with her day. Her niece decided she would step in and help Annie tick a few things off the list.

Annie’s niece contacted the local police ‘Politie Nijmegen-Zuid’ and asked them if they would be able to assist in helping Annie live a life long wish, getting arrested. Of course they were happy to assist in the request and even gave her the full official treatment.

“Annie was then driven to the police station and locked in a cell – officers even slapped some handcuffs on her for the full effect.”

“Some arrangements were made and then we picked her up at her home [in a police car],” a police spokesperson

“We don’t usually do this, but we made an exception for Annie,” said the spokesperson. “It was just a couple of minutes in the cell. It was all about the experience. We don’t know why it was on her bucket list.”

The police station, Politie Nijmegen-Zuid, shared images of Annie’s arrest and the sheer joy and excitement on her face is infectious! The image makes your heart feel warm inside and those are all feelings one would never associate with an old lady being arrested!
