The JMPD shared a heartwarming story highlighting Sgt Rose Sithole who helped a Johannesburg citizen avoid danger while changing his tyre.

 

Johannesburg, South Africa (27 September 2023) – The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) shared an uplifting post and showered one of their own with well-deserved praise. Kamil Reddy shared his thanks with the department after he found himself on the roadside and A/Sgt Rose Sithole stopped to assist him.

According to Reddy, Sgt Sithole saw him on the roadside trying to change his tyre. The problem was, that Reddy was on the Selby Street on-ramp, placing himself in a little bit of danger. He shared that Sgt Sithole manoeuvred her car to protect him from oncoming traffic.

The JMPD shared his appreciation post along with their own words of encouragement for Sgt Sithole.

“Thank you for the feedback Kamil Reddy it is highly appreciated, & well done to A/Sgt Rose Sithole for the exceptional work, continue serving the City of Joburg with the utmost pride & dedication.”

Sgt Sithole went above and beyond and when Reddy had finished changing his tyre, she gave him her drinking water to wash his hands.
