Catch

Musa Strachan Zanempi was watching his daughter as she sat entranced by a fisherman in the water; the fisherman saw her interest and invited her to reel in his catch.

Kenton-on-Sea, South Africa (07 January 2022) – Watching a child experience sheer joy is one of life’s most significant rewards. One fisherman decided to share some fun and made a little girl’s day by letting her reel in his catch. This very simple act created a ripple of joy that is now spreading across social media.

Musa Strachan Zanempi was on the riverbank in Kenton-on-Sea, Eastern Cape, with his daughter. The pair were having a lovely day in the sun, sand and water.

“We were sitting on the bank of the river and saw a man on a canoe catch something. It was when I look to my daughter who a few days joined my brother in law and father in law fishing up the river. The gentleman rowed towards us and asked if my daughter would like to reel it in.”

Musa shared that his daughter’s excitement melted his heart and filled him with joy. He took to the Kenton Awesomeness community group on Facebook to share thanks to the man that made their holiday so memorable.

“This is where my heart melted and I was full of joy. This gentleman did something so profound by just a small gesture and hope he realises it really made our holiday a little more special.

We have had the toughest two years in the world, seen so much negativity and this showed me there are many good people out there still.

I don’t know your name sir but I hope you have an excellent 2022. And to all the good kinded people that we saw along the way on the beach and river chatting to my daughter and family. Kenton is really special.”

We absolutely adore this story! Thank you for sharing it, Musa.
