What makes a house a home? Lucas Radebe opens up about Growing up in South Africa.

Lucas Radebe, a Jawitz Properties client tackles the emotionally-compelling story of ‘what makes a house a home?’

The launch of the #RealLifeRealEstate campaign brings real stories from real South Africans, sharing the good things about living in our beautiful country. Lucas Radebe kicked the campaign off, while tackling the emotionally-compelling story of ‘what makes a house a home?’.

In the campaign premiere of the content series, Radebe shares the trials and tribulations of his #RealLifeRealEstate journey. Radebe said he may have grown up in a small, poor family as one of 10 children but he always felt at home in Soweto.

“I think it is important to know where you come from and to work with what you have. I was lucky to get certain opportunities that I took in my life and which helped me be successful. I’m looking at life beyond football now though. A career in football can only last so long and take you so far. I hope that working hard and having a positive personality can help me become a great example to my community and other communities,” Radebe said.

Radebe has stayed in many houses in his lifetime. From Diepkloof, Zone 4 to Bophuthatswana, all the way to Elland Road in Leeds, but for him there will always only be one home – South Africa.

“It was the authenticity of the campaign that lured me to this project, as well as the rewards that are on offer to the average South African,” Radebe continues.

An integrated social media campaign encourages South Africans to submit their #RealLifeRealEstate stories with @JawitzProp on Twitter, @Jawitz.Properties on Instagram, and via Facebook.

The brand will be surprising and delighting fans this Festive Season with appliances, vouchers for home furnishings and even the possibility of contributing to rental and property upgrades for someone in need, through various regional radio campaigns’, concludes Jawitz

“For Jawitz, homes are more than just inventory or stock, they represent memories of sellers and dreams for interested buyers. We are delighted to have Lucas on board, sharing his story, in order to encourage South Africans to share theirs”, says Herschel Jawitz, CEO Jawitz Properties.

The campaign runs from 15 November 2018 to 28 February 2019 but you can watch his emotional story below:
