From first-aid kits to craft supplies, Hearts in Hands never tires of working with partners who share their passion for helping every child feel protected, inspired, and deeply cared for every single day.
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (22 September 2026) – Good things happen when those in a position to help or stand in the gap for others do just that!
Whether through donations of food and learning materials or larger infrastructural upgrades, the Hearts in Hands Food Bank NPO provides that exact support for crèches and early learning centres that often need a hand up to ensure they can deliver the best care and developmental tools to the children entrusted to them.
Recently, Hearts in Hands connected with dear friend and community liaison, Pastor Leonard, to hand over essential first-aid kits for two crèches they have supported over the past few years: Isibukosezwe and Swelihle Crèches.
While it may seem like a simple contribution to some, having the right resources close at hand is key to ensuring educators are prepared for a nasty bump on the playground or a badly scraped knee, making all the difference when it matters most.
“These kits provide caregivers and teachers with the resources they need to respond promptly to minor medical emergencies, while also supporting the crèches in meeting essential Health and Safety requirements. It gives us comfort knowing that these little ones are being cared for in environments that are as safe and prepared as possible,” Hearts in Hands shared.
And because arts and crafts are essential to the imagination and creativity of any growing child, the charity was also able to surprise the young learners at Gogo Zondi’s Khulakahle Crèche by delivering a generous donation of creative supplies.
Made possible through funds raised by talented artists exhibiting at Art in the Paddock throughout the year, this beautiful gift gives these little ones the opportunity to create, imagine, explore, and express themselves.
“Thank you, Art in the Paddock, for turning your passion and creativity into something that brings so much joy to these children. We are so grateful for your kindness and cannot wait to see the beautiful creations that come from these wonderful little hands,” Hearts in Hands added.
When standing in the gap looks like ensuring the safety, care, and creativity of children, it not only makes a difference in their day-to-day routines; it builds a safer, brighter, and more hopeful foundation for their entire future.
