Mvuyo First Sports Day

A video of a little differently-abled boy from Plett Primary School competing at his first Sports day is going viral for all the right reasons.

The video posted by the Sabrina Love Foundation shows Mvuyo at his first Sports Day at Plett Primary School.

“Thank you for being a shining example of inclusive education and how wonderfully Mivi has been integrated into your school!”

The Sabrina Love Foundation are all about ‘Their Kids’. The main purpose of the organisation is to try and help less fortunate parents who face the challenges of giving their special children everything that they need in order to live as normal and comfortable a life as possible.

In some cases, this is as simple as the need of a wheelchair, something so out of reach for some, and yet a tool that could set these children free. They also provide additional services and treatments such as an Occupational Therapists, visits to the hospital or to Red Cross, Physiotherapy and, where they can, specialist operations or procedures.

They are able to provide this through their many fundraising efforts and wonderful supporters who continuously donate to the special Foundation.

Lisa Corbett Shattock, one of the teachers at Plett Primary School took to Facebook to thank the foundation and express her utmost admiration for Mvuyo.

“Thank you Sabrina Love Foundation… “it takes a village” to raise children. Mvuyo’s enthusiasm and determination to do everything that his classmates do despite the physical obstacles that he faces, is food for the soul. We are honoured to have such a strong little character at Plett Primary School.”

It’s not a long video but it does show something spectacular… inclusivity, love, strength and an incredible determination in one young South African. Go Mvuyo!
