Naelon Andrews who recently went viral after singing in the street just received a full recording contract with Universal Music!

Pretoria, South Africa – The young man with the voice of an Angel who recently went viral for all the right reasons has just received a full recording contract!!!

Naelon Andrews was walking down Merriman Street in George when Jessica Basson heard him singing. She thought it was a car radio playing, but when she looked outside, she found the 21-year-old singing his heart out.

Basson stopped him and asked if he would perform the song for her colleagues inside the office. Andrews agreed and luckily for us, Basson recorded the entire song (and a second one) for everyone to hear!

Andrews is currently studying to be a teacher but has always dreamed of being a singer. The talented South African grew up in a very supportive household with his mother who is a cleaner and a father who is a truck driver, both who are incredibly proud of their son finally being found.

Ruben Delmage and the team at Groot FM flew Andrews up to Pretoria with the premise that he would perform on air. Little did he know that Bino Boshoff, the head of Afrikaans music at Universal Music, had joined the breakfast team to offer Andrews a full recording contract!!!

Watch the video with three performances and the surprising contract offer below:
