Frans Muthatha cycles every day and loves it so when he went into a local cycle shop; he never dreamed that he would be surprised with a new bicycle.
Fourways, South Africa – The team at Cycle Lab Fourways went above and beyond to spread the Christmas spirit this week. It all started when a man walked into their store, soaked to the bone, looking for a new bicycle tyre tube.
The man, named Frans, walked in with the worlds biggest, happiest smile despite having been caught with a flat tyre in the pouring rain. He walked to the cycle shop with the hope of fixing his bicycle tyre so he could get home.
“Coming into the store soaking wet from the rain with the biggest smile on his face saying to our workshops team that all he needs, is help with changing his tube.
So our workshop manager, Deane, had one look at the bike and the Santa in him came out.”
Deane wanted to do something special for Frans after seeing his bicycle, held together by tape and wire. Deane was moved by Frans’ happiness, so he asked the Cycle Lab team if he could do a random act of kindness in the spirit of Christmas.
The team pulled a new bicycle from their stock and gifted it to Frans (pictured above in the blue). The new bicycle is a Marvel and will make his daily cycle, way more comfortable.
“Knowing it is that time of the year to pay it forward he (Deane) asked for a present from the Cycle Lab Fourways Team to somebody in desperate need of kindness and goodwill.
So a very Merry Christmas to Frans Muthatha with a big Ho Ho Ho from Santa, Deane and the Cycle Lab Team.
May you have many happy and safe miles on your new Marvel bicycle.”
Frans was so happy, and believe it or not; his big smile grew even wider!
“May we all remember that it is the time of year to pay it forward.” – Cycle Lab Fourways
