Onomo - Durban waiter receives R5000 tip; shares it with rest of team! 1

Not only is he kind and a wonderful example of our rainbow nation, but he is also the kindest person I have ever met.

Durban, South Africa – A South African holiday couple from Johannesburg checked into the Onomo hotel during September.

The guests made use of the dining facilities on the first night and enjoyed their food and service from Murphy Nyengele so much that they continued going every night and asked for Murphy on every occasion. They tipped Murphy well after every meal and thanked him for his incredible service.

On their last night, the South African couple left Murphy a whopping tip of R5 000.00.

“You can only imagine how amazing you need to be to receive this kind of gratuity.” ” – Michelle Sander, sales executive at Onomo.

When he received this phenomenal tip, the first thing Murphy decided was to share it with the rest of the team. One of his biggest beliefs is that “we all work together and his team ethos is one for all and all for one”.

“Murphy is an exceptional young man who has a heart of gold. He has tremendous customer service skills and often goes beyond the call of duty for our guests.

Not only is he kind and a wonderful example of our rainbow nation, but he is also the kindest person I have ever met.” – Michelle Sander, sales executive at Onomo.
