When Precious Mahlangu was overwhelmed by what seemed like life’s never-ending trials and on the verge of giving up, Cradle of Hope stepped in, offering not only support and a safe place to call home but also a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.

Krugersdorp West, South Africa (08 January 2025) – The gift of life, while precious, often presents unforeseen challenges. Challenges that can be incredibly painful and feel insurmountable.

Helping a mother of two, Precious Mahlangu, weather her storms, Cradle of Hope NPC, offered a safe haven and a hand-up at its House of Restoration.

Though she doesn’t go into too much detail, Precious admits that her path had been one met with several hardships that often tempted her to give up all hope for better days.

But, things took a turn for the better when she found the support, a lifeline, that greatly improved not just her life but her children’s too.

Both of her children currently attend Cradle Tjokkertjies For Jesus, and it fills her heart with joy to see them thriving and happy, picked up and dropped off safely every day.

Through Bible studies, therapy sessions, and daily morning blessings, Precious has been able to heal from past wounds and losses, live fully in the present, and work towards a bright future with grace.

“I have realised that happiness often lies in the simple things: being cosy and warm with my little ones, having food to eat, choosing what to wear, and taking pride in being a mother and a supportive community member, a light for those in need.

“I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to transform my life and to become the woman I never imagined I could be. I consider myself highly favoured to be a part of the Cradle Of Hope,” she shares.

The charity prides itself in offering help and hope to those in need. Today, Precious gives back by facilitating the house in the evenings as a small token of her gratitude for the countless ways this charity has supported her.
