Robby’s unbelievable story from a wheelchair to the summit of Mount Everest will completely inspire you and make you want to reach for goals never before thought possible!
Johannesburg, South Africa (29 January 2019) – Robby Kojetin is an ordinary guy with an extraordinary story.
In 2006 Robby broke both ankles in a climbing accident, permanently damaging both ankles and putting him in a wheelchair for the longest year of his life. With crippling debt, severe depression and constant pain, Robby spiralled into an abyss of despair and hopelessness, with literally nothing left.
Nothing, but the power to decide, and a dream.
This is a story about losing everything and what it takes to rebuild a life from absolute rock bottom and not giving up until you reach the ultimate goal… the summit of Mount Everest.
Robby’s childhood dream to climb the highest mountain on Earth would ironically save his life.
Surgeons and specialists said he’d never climb again. Three years and 27 days later, he reached the summit of Mount Everest and proved everyone wrong… including himself. As if that was not enough, he would go on to complete the Ironman Triathlon, climb 5 of the Seven Summits, fish for Piranha in the Amazon and tigerfish in the mighty Zambezi River. And he is just getting started.
Robby’s awe-inspiring story from suicide to success makes him one of the most inspirational South Africans, and even though Robby is not the first, youngest or the fastest to summit Everest … he is the most driven, and he has joined the Good Things Guy JACPOD to chat about his story!
