School kids helped raise essential funds for the Maletsatsi Foundation in what is the foundation’s biggest donation ever received!
Johannesburg, South Africa (10 May 2024) — The Maletsatsi Foundation recently shared a wealth of good news after they received their biggest donation ever—all thanks to school kids!
The Maletsatsi Foundation know all-too-well that as much as well all wish they could, love and kindness alone cannot pay the bills in most charitable pursuits. For Tiffani Hein, her non-profit (which takes in as many children as possible until the best homes are found), like many others, faces the endless battle of covering costs—from school fees to food and formulas as well as doctors appointments and all the extras many parents know well. It is no small job caring for multiple children, but the Maletsatsi Foundation has pulled through time and time again, and this time, it was thanks to the children themselves.
“If I told you that the biggest donation we’ve ever received was raised entirely BY CHILDREN, would you believe us? The power of our kids is immeasurable,” remarked Tiffani of the recent donation her foundation received.
Thanks to the children of the American International School of Pretoria, a whopping R252,000 was raised. The big cheque handover was presented by the Parent Association whose Rand Rally initiative helped make the month-changing moment possible.
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent the night with a mosquito,” Tiffani recited the famed proverb in her thanks to the school who have not just given the Maletsatsi Foundation essential funds, but an entire month without financial worry.
