From disfigurement and addiction on the streets of Sandton, Sifiso found healing, recovery, and a new beginning. Yesterday, he celebrated his incredible redemption by successfully welcoming his first client to his newly launched business!
Johannesburg, South Africa (31 October 2025) – Like many who find themselves navigating life with their head down and withdrawn, life hadn’t been kind to Sifiso. In fact, from birth, he carried an internal pain and external physical discomfort that most people won’t ever experience in their lifetime.
In February this year, Good Things Guy shared about this man’s first steps on the journey to his healing after he was discovered by The Angel Network Gauteng in 2023. At the time, Sifiso had been begging on the streets of Sandton and had become disfigured due to a cyst he’d been born with.
In 2024, with the help of Sandton Radiology at Sandton Medi-Clinic, the different stages of the cyst removal were fully completed, and Sifiso welcomed the sight of both eyes back once again.
He also went into a rehabilitation programme shortly afterwards, as he had turned to drug abuse and ultimately lost his job.
“He not only completed it successfully but also emerged as a natural leader among his peers,” The Angel Network Gauteng said.
“Fast forward a year, and Sifiso continues to flourish. Since being discharged in mid-June, he has been living in a halfway house and recently approached us with a dream of starting his own business.”
With his background in windscreen repairs, The Angels were more than happy to help Sifiso launch his very own small enterprise. Yesterday, he welcomed his first client and completed his first official job!
His client, Marc Snaid, had this to share about Sifiso’s service:
“Sifiso arrived early, was well presented, friendly, efficient and did a great job of the repair. He has a great attitude and outlook on his new adventure”.
What an amazing start to yet another chapter of redemption for Sifiso.
The Angel Network expressed its pride in how far he has come and the initiative he has taken to reclaim his life.
“There were times during his journey that he was ready to give up. How grateful we are that he persevered and saw it through.
“We encourage you to support Sifiso by calling on him for any windscreen repairs you may need. With continued encouragement and opportunity, he can build a sustainable future and, in so doing, contribute to changing the landscape of our country, one individual at a time.”
