Balloons and the Biggest Smiles! Learners Give Their Teacher a Birthday Surprise

Enough love to fill every seat in a classroom!

Johannesburg, South Africa (17 March 2026) – A group of primary school learners went the extra mile to make their teacher’s birthday unforgettable last week.

Mrs Meyiwa arrived at school on her big day to find her learners eagerly waiting to greet her – but little did she know they had something very special up their sleeves…

She was playfully blindfolded and guided into her classroom by little hands on either side. Students had decorated the classroom with balloons and a spread of snacks they’d brought from home. When the blindfold lifted (and the confetti cleared) a room full of beaming smiles excitedly started back at her!
