Last night Dineo Ranaka caused a storm of controversy on social media when she tweeted a reply to a young woman whose Twitter handle is Miss Mnisi.

This is what happened:

Miss Mnisi, a young matric tweeted Dineo asking for help getting a dress donation for her matric dance.

Dineo then replied that “A matric dance should be the VERY least of your stresses. The aim is not to look rich but to be rich #education1st.”

Other Tweeters were not happy with that reply from Dineo but the reality TV star did not back down. Miss Mnisi has since protected her tweets and has not responded to a slew of questions from media and the public.

But, just when this seemed like a negative situation for the young girl, other Twitter users swept in and offered her all that she asked for and so much more.

The hashtag #MatricDanceForMissMnisi is now trending. The world is just so kind, and we are absolutely taken a back by the responses of the most amazing people on Twitter!

And there are SO many more! She has been offered dresses, makeup, pocket money, a hairdresser & even transport!

South Africa has come together once again to help! We couldn’t be prouder!
