One SMALL Act of Kindness feeds hundreds of people each week, and they are calling for volunteers to help feed more people and to help fill their pots.

Johannesburg, South Africa (26 August 2022) – One SMALL Act of Kindness based in Johannesburg, works to support people most in need. They provide meals to the vulnerable people living on the streets each week from giant pots loaded into a trailer. People line up, and the team hopes and prays that they can feed each person.

One Small Act of Kindness was created and started from an idea on a Sunday night to help and assist communities and places that are missed or not assisted by other organisations. With more help and assistance from the communities, these places would be able to run a little more smoothly and assist or reach more than they are currently.

The aim is to assist old age homes, community foster homes, animal welfare, townships, locations, underprivileged nursery schools, the homeless as well as shelters.

This week they faced the scary moment where they scrapped the bottom of the pots but thankfully managed to feed everyone. The reality is that each week the line gets a little bit longer as more people rely on support from outside sources. In times of trouble, charities try their best to pick up the pieces of society.

One SMALL Act of Kindness has asked for volunteers and supporters who want to make a difference to please reach out. Now more than ever, we can do more for those in need when we do it together.

“It’s not often that we need to SCRAP the bottom of the pots and last night was on of the heart pounding moments.

As the line was getting longer and our pots were getting closer to the bottom!

With the weather and light being on our side it’s always such a happy moment being on the street!
This week has definitely been a busy one on all fronts!

If you keen to volunteer or donate towards our feeding schemes please contact us. We can’t do this alone- We need all the help we can get!

It’s definitely getting harder to help the many that rely on us. Either food at the gate or feeding schemes and food parcels.

Please help us continue with a R50 or more. Every contribution makes a difference.
