Ladles of Love is recruiting volunteers to help them prepare and work through the wet and windy Cape winter; this is how you can lend a helping hand.
Cape Town, South Africa (22 March 2023) – As we enter autumn, many organisations have started working towards winter preperations. The Western Cape is always lashed with a wet and windy winter that takes a toll on the most destitute residents. Ladles of Love is recruiting volunteers to help those in need, get through the tough winter.
Ladles of Love runs a soup kitchen project called “The Dignity Kitchens“. The first kitchen was started on 2014 on a very cold July night. A small team of volunteers came together to cook and serve 70 meals to the destitute living on Cape Town streets.
The soup kitchen serves warming, hearty meals that keep people warm and fed during the cold winter months and throughout the year. The kitchen is run through The Hope Exchange on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
They are recruiting volunteers and this could be your chance to make a difference.
“Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of those in need?
Join us every week at our Dignity Kitchen and help us provide warm meals that will fill the souls of those in need with joy and hope. Together, we can create a world of difference and make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Let’s make a difference together!”
You can also donate groceries, funds and sandwhiches if you are not able to volunteer. You can sign up to be a voluneteer via the website here. You will find all the information needed to lend a helping hand on the website.
