Knowing the passionate street hustler around the corner from their shop in Durban dreams of starting his own car wash, barbers teamed up to surprise and transform him into the businessman he could be. Have a look!

Durban, South Africa (04 June, 2023)—Known around town as a street hustler, a man referred to only as Sphamandla makes ends meet by washing cars when he’s given the chance.

But, the street hustler wants more than that for himself, and one day hopes to further his passion by opening and running his own carwash business.

Working around the corner from a team of barbers at Supreme Hair SA in Durban, Sphamandla’s dream became apparent to the magicians who make the world of hair a better place.

As the barbers and haircut appointment sticklers know well, good haircuts are as important for the inside as the outside; a form of therapy and a dose of self-worth in a single sitting.

Deciding to show Sphamandla the future version of himself, the barbers invited him to take a seat and be treated to a haircut fit for any business owner in the making.

That wasn’t the only surprise of the day, though. The team also surprised their fellow hustler with a mini carwash kit and a warmer to keep him warm during winter working on the streets.

“Every little good deed you do does make a huge and everlasting difference in the next best person’s life.. never take that for granted,”—shared the barbers.

Have a Look at Sphamandla’s transformation!
