Olympic and world championship gold medallist, Wayde van Niekerk has been SA’s pride and joy over the last few months. We have watched him shine and now are happy to share yet another good news story about the champ.
Wayde van Niekerk married the love of his life and the ‘the woman of his dreams’, Chesney van Niekerk, over the weekend. We are all for sharing the love and wish to congratulate our champion.
The couple were married at the Bloemfontein Botanical Gardens with guests such as Springbok flank Siya Kolisi, Olympic 800m champion Caster Semenya and long jumper Ruswahl Samaai.
Wayde van Niekerk shared the news of his new marriage on social media and said,
“Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you Chesney van Niekerk! So blessed to start this next adventure with the girl of my dreams! I love you”
TV presenter Siv Ngesi was the MC and confirmed that the wedding was perfect. Other SA sports celebs tweeted their congratulations including Brian Habana and Courtnall Skosan.
