From a backyard internet café to a thriving skills centre, Prince Tamane’s dream of fighting the struggles of poverty for himself and others is opening doors to information, training and opportunity.

South Africa (02 July 2026) – ‘The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’ is an inspiring quote Prince Tamane references often on his social media and lives by.

Despite growing up surrounded by poverty, crime and hunger, Prince refused to let hardship define his future. Determined to help others avoid the same struggles he had faced, he built an internet café in his backyard, known to many as ‘The Backroom’.

With support from The Angel Network, the humble space, which began with a donation of computers, has since evolved into the Eyethu Skills Development Centre: a thriving hub that equips young people and adults with practical training in Occupational Health and Safety, AI in farming, photography, beauty therapy and more.

Through this centre, Prince has created more than just a place to connect online. He has built a space where people can access vital information, develop practical skills, discover employment opportunities and gain the confidence to improve their circumstances, creating a ripple effect that is making a meaningful difference in his community.

Some people wait for change; Prince created it, not only for himself but for everyone who steps into the skills development centre hoping to unlock a brighter future.

Every opportunity created here has been the result of determination meeting generosity.

“Prince did the hard work. People who chose to give made that work possible,” the Angel Network said.

The organisation invites the public to be part of the next success story by joining its Heroes with Halos monthly funding initiative and helping create opportunities that change lives for generations to come.
