More than R2 million paid out in one year as the charity shop continues to support feeding, care and sterilisation programmes nationwide.
Randburg, South Africa (18 January 2026) – South Africa’s animal welfare community has something big to celebrate. SAINTs Charity Shop has released its 2025 report card, revealing that the organisation raised and paid out more than R2.1 million to animal welfare causes in 2025. The team described this achievement as one of their toughest periods yet.
According to the report, SAINTs paid out a total of R2,144,480 in 2025 alone, including 371 sterilisations, offering vital support to organisations caring for vulnerable animals across the country. This brings the organisation’s total contribution to animal welfare since 2012 to just over R30 million, showing its long-term impact.
SAINTs operates as a non-profit organisation that raises funds primarily through its charity shop, turning donated goods into much-needed financial support for animals in distress. From feeding and medical care to sterilisation programmes and emergency assistance, the funds raised help animal welfare organisations continue work that many individuals are unable to do on their own.
The organisation is quick to point out that the success of 2025 was driven by community. In a message shared alongside the report card, SAINTs thanked its supporters for every donation, purchase, share and mention, acknowledging that consistent public support remains the backbone of the initiative. This shows that they stuck to their core mission of helping animals through practical, sustainable support.
