After 16 hard-fought rounds, South Africa’s Andrew Rackstraw sealed the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship, capping off a year defined by consistency and composure.

Kent, United Kingdom (08 October 2025) – South Africa’s Andrew Rackstraw has been crowned the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion after a strategic performance at the season finale at Brands Hatch. Driving for Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport, Andrew wrapped up the title with consistent finishes in both races, securing not only the drivers’ championship but also helping his team claim the overall team title.

The 23-year-old Cape Town driver showed remarkable consistency throughout the season, scoring points in all 16 rounds. This is an impressive achievement, considering he was competing in one of Britain’s most competitive racing series. His performance at the final event perfectly summed up his campaign: calm under pressure, focused, and fast when it mattered most.

Despite wet conditions during free practice and chilly weather over the weekend, Andrew delivered a strong qualifying run to line up fifth on the grid for the race. He made an excellent start and moved up quickly through the field, battling closely with title rival Will Martin. Finishing fourth in the Pro category gave him a valuable cushion going into the final race.

In the last round of the season, Andrew made another sharp getaway from third on the grid. Knowing he only needed to stay within reach of his closest competitor to secure the championship. Holding his nerve, he crossed the line in fourth overall. This was enough to seal the title by a narrow two-point margin.

Claiming the Porsche Carrera Cup GB title in just his second season racing abroad marks a major milestone in his young career. Consistency behind the wheel has made him one of the most promising South African drivers on the international stage.

Andrew credited his success to his Century Motorsport team, his sponsors, and his supporters both in the UK and back home in South Africa. He described the championship as a career-defining moment and a reward for years of hard work and belief.

“After such a hard-fought season, I honestly can’t believe that I’ve won the Porsche Carrera Cup GB title. It’s going to take a long time for it to sink in.”

The newly crowned champion says he’s already turning his attention to the 2026 season, but for now, he plans to take a moment to celebrate this special achievement.
