Kamaya Moodlair’s achievement as a young amateur competing against seasoned professionals is a source of inspiration for aspiring golfers.
Ballito, South Africa (13 September 2024) – With a club in hand, Kamaya Moodlair has a passion for golf that shines brightest on the green.
Congratulations are in order for the Ashton International College Ballito matriculant for her incredible achievement at the SA Women’s Masters 2024 in San Lameer!
Held on 5-6 September, the competition is the third oldest, but second most contested, professional women’s golf tournament in South Africa.
Kamaya competed alongside the pros, shined brightly and clinched the Sally Little Trophy for the Best Amateur.
Ashton International College’s Head of SC Sport, Craig Currin, said that as Kamaya prepares to take the next step in her golfing journey after high school, it’s impossible not to reflect on the incredible impact she’s had on the Ashton 1st Golf Team.
“Her immense talent, unwavering commitment to her team, and outstanding leadership have been instrumental in the team’s success.
“Her work ethic and remarkable skills on the course have distinguished her as one of Ashton’s finest athletes.”
Kamaya has set the standard for future Ashton golfers, leaving behind a legacy that will no doubt inspire those coming through the ranks to aim for even greater heights.
Currin added that Kamaya’s presence will be missed on the team but is excited to see where her promising golf career takes her after school.
