Springbok captain Warren Whiteley has been forced to watch his side’s recent excellent performances from afar.
The loose-forward, who was given the armband by coach Allister Coetzee at the beginning of the season to become the Boks’ 58th captain, picked up a severe pelvic injury ahead of the 3rd test against France, and has been sidelined ever since.
He underwent surgery towards the end of August, and will unfortunately miss the entirety of the Rugby Championship. The Boks have had a terrific start to 2017, having secured five wins from five, making them the only undefeated team in the top ten rankings this year. That’s a world away from their performances in 2016, when they won just four test matches in total.
Whiteley, who is currently undergoing rehab, took time out from his recovery sessions to put his sporting knowledge to the test, while showcasing his very likable demeanour. Can you beat the Bok’s score?
