Team Transplant SA is coming home with a very heavy medal bag; the team did incredibly well and we are so proud! Let’s take a look…

South Africa (24 April 2023) – The World Transplant Games in Perth, Australia have come to an end. Team Transplant SA there with the South African Transplant Sports Association (SATSA) has shared the final medals won on social media.

These are all the medals earned by the team. They worked hard and it has paid off! SATSA are excited to share this news and we do not blame them, it’s a very shiny, bronze, silver and gold list.

While the team is overjoyed about doing so well, they know it would not have been without the donors who afforded them the gift of life. Whether living donors or those who lost their lives, each of our proudly South African athletes is grateful for the choice made by families and direct donors.

“And just like that the Games are over. Thank you to the entire team and our supporters for your commitment and “Gees” in making the Games a resounding success for the SA Team. Most of all we thank our donors for affording us this amazing gift of life.

Here’s to the memories made and the friendships formed!
