A local company has donated 75 thick, waterproof mattresses to give animals at the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA a warmer and more comfortable place to rest.
Johannesburg, South Africa (22 September 2026) – The animals at the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA have some new beds to look forward to, thanks to a generous donation from a corporate sponsor.
A company donated 75 thick, waterproof mattresses to the SPCA, giving animals in its care a warmer, softer and more comfortable place to rest while they wait for their forever homes.
For animals living at the shelter, a comfortable bed might seem like a small thing, but it can make a big difference to their day-to-day wellbeing.
The new mattresses will provide protection from cold and damp conditions while giving the animals a cosy place to sleep, particularly those who may spend weeks or months at the SPCA before finding a family.
