At just 15, South African actress Bella Alexandras is lighting up red carpets around the world, from Cannes to Monte-Carlo, while proudly flying the SA flag and building a bold future in film, music, and fashion.
Global (26 June 2025) – At just 15 years old, Bella Alexandras is already making international headlines, and not just for her rising film career. The South African actress, singer, and producer recently attended the prestigious Monte-Carlo Television Festival hot off the heels of her Cannes appearance, continuing a whirlwind journey that’s placing her firmly in the spotlight.
Bella’s star has been rising steadily since her role in The Infernal Machine alongside Guy Pearce and Alice Eve, but it’s her upcoming lead in I Hate Pirates for Amazon Prime Video that’s expected to make big waves.
“The team was incredible,” she says. “Watching Manny Mijares bring his creative vision to life was something I’ll always treasure.”
But beyond the camera, Bella is no stranger to the world of high fashion. With runway appearances at Paris and London Fashion Weeks, campaigns for DKNY and Karl Lagerfeld, and her own sold-out BONTON capsule collection, she’s rewriting what it means to be a teen multi-hyphenate.
Still, it’s her presence at Monte-Carlo that’s brought home a deeper sense of pride.
“Everything looked like a movie,” she reflects, “but what surprised me the most was how calm I felt. Cannes was loud and fast. Monte Carlo felt quieter, more personal. I walked in wide-eyed, ready to learn.”
It’s that grounded sense of wonder that shines in her reflections, especially when she speaks of representing South Africa.
“I carry a whole world inside me—my family, my country, my roots. Every time someone asked where I’m from, I said ‘South Africa’ with so much pride. I hope I made home proud.”
