South Africa clearly made an impression… Dua Lipa is back in South Africa for the second time this year. And it’s only April!!!
Kruger National Park (19 April 2026) – There’s a reason people fall in love with South Africa… and then come straight back for more.
Dua Lipa is back on our shores. The global pop star, alongside her fiancé Callum Turner, has gone viral after sharing snapshots from Kruger National Park over the weekend. The images, filled with wildlife encounters and sweeping landscapes, have been lighting up social media… and reminding the world exactly what makes this country so special.
She captioned the update, “David Attenborough eat your heart out!!!!! I just had the most incredible trip of my life in South Africa. Being so close to such beautiful animals in their natural habitat, between Kruger Park and Sabi Sands, was something I can barely put into words.”
“It was truly unforgettable…one of those experiences that stays with you forever.”
Yes Dua! “One kiss” is all it takes! Well, one trip to South Africa is all it takes… and then you’ll be falling in love with us. And be back for more.
In January, Dua Lipa shared that she had travelled to South Africa for work, but, like so many who visit, she carved out time to explore a little more. Those “side quests”, as she called them, included restaurant visits and unexpected fan encounters that quickly made their way onto social media.

Clearly, that first trip left its mark… because just a few months later, she’s back, trading city scapes for safari scenes and sharing it all with millions of followers across the globe.
Naturally, the return has sparked a bit of playful speculation. Two visits in four months has people wondering if there’s more to the story… could South Africa be on the shortlist for something even bigger, like a wedding? Reports suggest the couple have been looking at venues in Italy and the UK, so perhaps not. But if plans ever did shift this way, you can be sure South Africans would be ready with open arms (and probably a few unsolicited venue suggestions too).
Beyond the excitement of celebrity sightings, though, there’s something deeper happening here. Every time someone with a global platform shares their experience of South Africa, it reframes the narrative just a little. It reminds the world that this country is filled with beauty and wonder and more reasons than we can count, to come back for more!
