The Put Foot Foundation helps thousands of school children across rural South Africa get access to proper school shoes every year!
The Put Foot Foundation is a Public Beneficiary Organisation (PBO) and Not-for-Profit Organisation (NPO). They fully rely on a volunteer base and public funding to gift children new school shoes each year!
The foundation was created by the need to tackle the daily struggle and indignity of children with no shoes. The Put Foot Foundations operates across the whole of South Africa, with a particular focus on the less privileged and rural areas often overlooked by charities.

The Foundation is in the middle of their 2017 fundraising, the goal has been to raise R600,000.00 and have already reached the R470,000.00. This year they plan to gift the growing shoes as well their regular Buccaneer Shoes.
“Shoes are symbolic of pride and give confidence to young learners knowing that they can walk to school in comfort, as opposed to barefoot.”
“Shoes are also a vital protection barrier between our children’s tiny soles and Africa’s rough and unforgiving terrain.”
The Shoes that grow were invented by Kenton Lee, “The Shoe That Grows” is perfect for warmer climates and last up to 5 years!
“Once a school has been identified, plans are put in place to invite donors, supporters and volunteers to accompany our team to deliver the shoes to hundreds of excited children.”
