A friendly kitchen challenge saw creators in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand compare results while celebrating a beloved local dessert.

Global (22 June 2026) – Three countries, one recipe, and plenty of laughs.

Those were the vibes behind the latest video from content creators Nat Cooking, Alice Taylor Eats and South African creator Fehmz, who teamed up for a light-hearted Tri-Nations kitchen challenge inspired by a beloved South African dessert.

Instead of debating rugby scores, the trio took on a mission to make a coconut pudding from the cookbook Damn Good Food.

The challenge was simple. Each creator, cooking from their respective corners of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, followed the same recipe to see how it would turn out across three different countries.

The star was the pudding itself. Made with pantry staples such as bread, milk, eggs, condensed milk and desiccated coconut, the dessert comes together surprisingly easily before being topped with sweetened cream, grated chocolate and toasted coconut.

The video may have started as a comparison between South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, but it quickly became a celebration of how food has a way of bringing people together.

This coconut pudding may have just found a few new fans around the world.
