“This extraordinary achievement is the culmination of months of dedication, discipline and collaboration. From hours of rehearsals and early mornings, to performing on an international stage, our choristers have represented St Cyprian’s with excellence, grace and an unmistakable Girl in Blue spirit. We are immensely proud of the talent, commitment and heart they have shared with audiences across France, Monaco and Spain.” the school shared.

The Golden Voices of Barcelona competition welcomes choirs from around the world and creates opportunities for young musicians to perform on international stages while celebrating the art of choral singing and building connections across cultures.

Winning the Grand Prix also came with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As the overall champions, the choir enjoyed the honour of performing in the Crypt of the Sagrada Família, one of the world’s most iconic sacred spaces and the resting place of renowned architect Antoni Gaudí.

“The tour concluded with a moving final performance in the Crypt of the Sagrada Família, one of the world’s most iconic sacred spaces and the resting place of Antoni Gaudí. It was a fitting tribute to an unforgettable journey that saw our girls share their music across cities, cultures, and communities.”

Another incredible win for young South African choristers making their mark in the world!
