Nandos Fired Up

Nando’s is getting fired up once more, this time they are avoiding the catchy jokes about Eskom and the Gupta Leaks and focusing on the majority!

South Africa (19 June 2017) – Nando’s is back with a new advert, using it’s iconic wit and humour they avoid going directly into topics such as Eskom and the Gupta Leaks and focus on whats important! Affordable meals for the majority of South African citizens.

Their advert is all about the affordable meals they are offering but they also highlight a few issues and hot topics currently doing the rounds in South Africa. They refuse to shy away from controversy!

Nando’s has taken on Eskom and the Gupta’s in the past, the current ad is focused on the hot topic of Land Reform. But they do it cleverly, and we only see it right at the end of the advert.

“We need to talk about the land…”

Land Reform topics often get a lot of people fired up or their backs up, whether its being in favour of it or being opposed to it. It is a political topic, where opinions differ but Nando’s is obviously trying to create an important conversation.

While we won’t go into the depths of the issue, we can say that South Africans have loved the advert! It has had a huge influx of comments and views, which are mostly positive and in favour of calm discussions about the land!
