A crowdfunding appeal aims to raise R350,000 to help cover chemotherapy, radiation, scans, medication and other medical costs.

South Africa (15 September 2026) – Tereza is facing another difficult chapter in her battle against breast cancer, with four rounds of chemotherapy and weeks of radiation still ahead of her.

Earlier this year, Tereza was diagnosed with breast cancer and has already undergone a double mastectomy and chemotherapy.

The treatment has taken a physical and emotional toll, bringing exhaustion, pain and the uncertainty that comes with fighting cancer. Despite this, she has continued with the treatment she needs.

Now, there is another challenge. The money that was available to cover her medical treatment has run out, while her cancer treatment is far from complete. Tereza still needs four rounds of Taxane chemotherapy, followed by three weeks of daily radiation therapy. She will also require scans, medication, blood tests and other medical care along the way.

Her family is hoping to raise R350,000 to help cover these costs and ensure she can continue with the treatment without having to face the added pressure of figuring out how to pay for it.

A crowdfunding link has been created to help raise the R350,000 needed for her medical care. They have already raised over R90,000 in just 6 days.
