An Irish website has ranked 50 countries according to the sexiness of their accents, and South Africa was ranked number 1! We smaak it!
South Africa (19 October 2017) – The Irish website ‘Lovin‘ posted a list ranking countries according to the sexiness of their accents. We spotted the list and thought it was funny enough to share.
South Africa was ranked number one because, as the website said: “Afrikaans is the key to our hearts.”
Some of the other top-ranking accents were Irish and Northern Irish, Italian, French and Australian. We obviously love winning things, as a nation, we are pretty awesome so high five to Saffa’s everywhere, we did it!
To celebrate our sexy accents, we are sharing some typical South African slang words and their meanings with you. These words highlight many of the variations in our accents as well.
