Nando's Chicken Nando's

An old-school Nando’s advert is doing the rounds again for its funny nature. This one is all about the stoners and it is too funny to miss!

South Africa (20 September 2018) – Nando’s is famous for not only their delicious chicken but also their incredibly funny, sometimes a little political, but most importantly, genius adverts. Often, there are fake adverts that get circulated, like the fake ‘Azishe‘ ad that made its way across Facebook shortly after cannabis for personal used was decriminalised.

Now there is a new advert being shared… well, actually, it isn’t very new at all. In fact, it is quite a throwback advert. It was released in 1998, meaning its a 20-year-old advert.

It is being shared again because it is so relevant to the current state of affairs in South Africa and people are loving the throwback.

The advert follows an elderly couple that has noticed billows of smoke coming from their new neighbours home. They assume the family there cannot cook so they go out and buy some Nando’s chicken to give the family.

The naivety of the couple is what makes that advert so damn brilliant!

“Shaaaame, did you hear them say they had been stoned since they arrived in Joburg?”

Ag shame! You can watch the funny throwback advert below. Enjoy!
