Fleurette Du Rand was out visiting clients when she was blinded by sunlight after driving over a steep hill, she started to turn but heard her tyre burst in the process.
Fairlands, Johannesburg – People are inherently good at heart and always willing to help wherever possible. We see this every day and love to celebrate these small good deeds.
Fleurette was out visiting clients in a new neighbourhood when she had a bit of car trouble. She was caught by surprise by the sun, leaving her blinded while driving over a steep hill in Fairlands. She turned a little too sharply, and her tyre caught the pavement.
The tyre went flat almost instantly, and she knew she would need to change it to travel back home. She pulled over and started to assess the damage.
That is when two Good Samaritans came over to offer their assistance. Liam and Matthew saw that she was in trouble and made their way over to help.
Their good deed lifted Fleurette’s spirits and gave her hope. Their efforts moved her so much that she wanted us to help her thank them. They gave up their time and probably missed their transport home, but they insisted on helping Fleurette.
“I got a flat tyre today when driving uphill with the sun shining straight into my eyes while needing to turn and hitting the curb. My tyre was flat instantly and had to pull off.
I was visiting a client, so not my normal neighbourhood and two very kind gents walking home stopped and helped to change the tyre.
I know what it means needing to catch a taxi or transportation before its too late but still they stopped to help without asking for anything while it was already half past 5. This gave me hope knowing there are still good people out there.”
Liam and Matthew’s actions are the perfect examples of doing the right thing and it warms our hearts to see it.
