Team Femininomenon, led by a South African mother-daughter duo, is embarking on a journey across Africa in a vintage Cressida to raise funds and awareness for elder care in Gauteng.
South Africa (27 June 2025) – Some cars hum along the highway. Others thunder into legend. The 1985 Toyota Cressida, affectionately known as Cressi, has never been quiet. This steampunk-styled beauty with an unshakable attitude is currently gearing up to travel across Southern Africa as part of the Africa Rally 2025, and she’s not doing it alone.
Behind the wheel? A fearless mother-daughter team with heart, grit, and a mission. Lilian Bierman and Liana Keijser aren’t just ticking boxes on a map, they’re rewriting what adventure looks like with their team Femininomenon, proving that the right blend of sisterhood and steel can handle any terrain.
Starting at Hartbeespoort Dam and carving a dusty path through Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and finishing in Kenya, Femininomenon is all about showing up boldly. And while the kilometres are hard-won, every inch brings them closer to something far greater: raising funds through GivenGain for a cause close to their hearts.

You can’t miss them. Part Mad Max, part rolling art installation, Cressi plans to turn every checkpoint into a conversation. Built for Bull-Run brawls and reborn for something even wilder, the Cressida has become a symbol of everything Femininomenon stands for: resilience, reinvention, and a whole lot of rally magic.
And while dust clings to everything, there’s no doubt this team is heading somewhere extraordinary. With every gear shift, they’re inviting others to dream bigger, drive harder, and never underestimate the power of a woman with purpose.
