A little blind and deaf boy's reaction to life will leave you in tears

This little boy who cannot see or hear but still finds joy in almost anything will steal your heart and leave you in tears.

At 7 months old, the Jolicoeur’s middle son Gideon was diagnosed with Peroxisomal Biogenesis Disorder (PBD). This is a rare, terminal genetic disorder, that so far, has left him legally blind and severe deaf.

The family started recording videos to share the joyful moments they have with him, his big sister and his new little brother.

We somehow found their page and cannot stop watching or crying with both joy and a little sadness. This little boy who cannot see or hear still finds joy in almost anything.

Gideon loves everything that vibrates because touch is his greatest sense. The family used to buy the adaptive toys, like the “z-vibe” but when you compare the cost of a z-vibe vs a vibrating toothbrush… there’s really no comparison plus he loves the toothbrush way more.

Their advice to others parents who may have a child similar to theirs, who just needs to hold something that vibrates, then the toothbrush is the way to go.

Because Gideon is deaf and blind, touch is his only way of acknowledging the world around him. That’s why his daddy has the beard that he does. Gideon knows his daddy (mostly) by his beard. And you can see how much he loves it:
