Chad Jones Brings the Joy as Castle Lite’s New Dance Challenge Lights Up South Africa

When Castle Lite wanted to spark a bit of joy this Dezemba, they turned to the one creator who can get an entire country smiling… Chad Jones.

Johannesburg, South Africa (17 December 2025) – Some people bring joy by accident. Others bring it on purpose. And then there’s one South African creator who somehow turns an ordinary day into a dance floor, a family into a movement and a moment into something warmer… even when the story is about something extra cold.

Castle Lite’s latest campaign might be centred on a dance move but the real heart of it lies in the creator they chose to partner with.

Chad Jones, with over 830,000 Instagram followers, 6 million TikTok followers, and a community that adores his family-style, feel-good content, has stepped into the spotlight, helping turn December into something a bit lighter.

A bit sillier.

A bit happier.

And goodness knows South Africa could use more of that.

The brand dropped “The Shiver”, a playful move inspired by the thrill of that first icy sip and suddenly the clip has been seen everywhere. Instead of leaning into the advertorial angle, Castle Lite leaned into something far more meaningful: joy.

Real, unfiltered, unexpected joy.

In the new TV ad, six dancers bring six Castle Lite bottles to life inside a fridge, each one shaking and sliding with that unmistakable extra-cold energy. It’s clever. It’s fun.

And social media agrees.

“The best advert ❤️😂”

“Daddy cool❤️. My beer”

“Pass that cold beer!!!”

Chad has joined the trend and is teaching South Africans how to master “The Shiver” themselves.

His tutorial, inspired by the scenes from the advert, breaks down the moves and invites Mzansi to play along. And the call-to-action is simple.

“Think your Castle Lite Shiver hits? ❄️👇 Show us and you could score R5k or a stash of Extra Cold ones. 😎 Remember to use #NothingHitsLikeExtraCold and tag @castlelitesa. Ts&Cs apply.”

Colleen Duvenage, Brand Director for Castle Lite, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Castle Lite has always been a brand known for creating unforgettable experiences and immersing itself in culture with its iconic extra cold liquid. The Shiver does exactly that, in a catchy move that brings to life the hit of invigoration only Castle Lite can deliver.”

Whether you join in for fun, for the chance to win some Extra Cold ones or simply because Dezemba has officially arrived, we’re here for it all.
