Vintage with Love is hosting Joburg’s first ‘meaningful furniture event’ where you can score beautiful restored pre-loved pieces and support literacy and education charities!
Johannesburg, South Africa (08 October 2026) – From 15 to 18 October, Vintage with Love is bringing its first dedicated ‘Furniture Fest’ to Design Quarter in Johannesburg.
Vintage with Love is an NPO that raises funds for a network of literacy and education-focused charities across South Africa. For more than a decade, it has been turning donated and pre-loved clothing into funding for those causes.
Three years ago, it took that same idea into the home with ‘Décor for a Difference’ at the Johannesburg Big Sale, and now there’s the Furniture Fest!

The four-day event is the organisation’s first furniture-only sale. A collection of quality pre-loved furniture has been restored, reimagined and finished, with many pieces reupholstered in stunning fabrics donated by Ardmore and other well-known fabric houses.
“This is not a traditional second-hand furniture sale,” says Tracey Butler, Managing Director of Vintage with Love. “Furniture Fest is about seeing the potential in quality pieces and transforming them into beautiful, contemporary furniture for today’s homes. Each piece has been carefully selected for its potential, then restored, reimagined and given a new lease on life.”

As with every Vintage with Love initiative, we love that all profits made are donated to literacy and education-focused charities across South Africa. A piece of furniture finds a new home, and the money from that purchase helps create opportunities and brighter futures through education!
“In a world of fast consumption and throwaway culture, Furniture Fest challenges the idea that new is always better,” says Butler. “It’s about rethinking the value of what we already have. A quality piece of furniture can be restored, reimagined and re-loved rather than discarded, and in doing so, it can create an impact far beyond the home it eventually lives in.”
