Art and earth lovers teamed up to better Benoni in a celebration of culture for a cause! Thanks to these communities, an art exhibition fundraiser was able to collect a small fortune that will help Benoni’s top community clean-up organisation keep doing what it does best: keeping Benoni clean and proud!
Benoni, South Africa (24 October 2024)—An art exhibition has done a whole lot of good for the Benoni community after it helped raise a small fortune to support the team keeping Benoni clean—Clean Projects.
Earlier this year, art school Art Alive dedicated its 14th annual La quattordicesima esposizione to the betterment of Benoni with support from the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora. It was an example of how a love and appreciation for arts and culture can lend themselves to community prosperity, putting the ‘art’ in ‘earth’.
From the end of July until early August, Art Alive’s exhibition was in full swing. In total, it managed to raise a R28,000!
The Clean Projects team practically leapt over the moon when they learned how much support had been rallied.
“This event wasn’t just a celebration of artistic flair; it was a vibrant reminder of the magic that happens when creativity meets a cause,” the Clean Projects team reflected.
The funds will be channelled into the many efforts that keep Benoni clean, including educational prospects that aim to positively impact the community.
“For 97 paintings and 85 charity squares to find new homes in just 5 days… you need a patient family, a strong team, great artists, and an art loving community! We are so grateful to every single person that made this exhibition a great success,” Art Alive shared.
