Hunny. there’s a lion on the stoep!


Hoedspruit, South Africa (16 January 2021) – The next time an international friend asks the de Beer family if lions roam our streets in South Africa, they can confidently answer “no, because they live in our backyard”.

David de Beer – the owner of Davon Construction – captured the unreal footage and uploaded it to social media earlier this week.

“So we arrive at my Father’s house (that’s for sale) on Leadwood Estate today only to find someone has already moved in…”

Owners of Leadwood Big Game Estate live within a Big Game Conservancy, where Big Game such as lion, leopard, rhino as well as plains game roam freely over 5 500 hectares of unspoiled bushveld between the Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon. Leadwood is situated a mere 7 km’s from the town of Hoedspruit with modern amenities and conveniently close to shops and schools.

So if you’re looking for a property where lions may hang out on your stoep, then we suggest getting hold of the de Beers.
